The innovative Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) procedure allows surgeons to reduce nerve exposure by approaching the spine from the side, with only a single incision in the back. With this technique, surgeons remove damaged vertebral bone, allowing access to remove the disc and replace it with a spacer and bone graft material.
Promoting Bone Regrowth
Rather than using conventional methods to promote bone regrowth, surgeons use an innovative technique of substituting crushed cadaver bone mixed with human growth protein and the patient's own bone marrow to reduce hip pain and lower the rates of infection and complications. We also see reductions in pelvic bone pain, infection and complication rates with this process.
